Introduction

          HI! For those of you that do not know me, my name is Ashley Boehmer. I decided to start this blog as a way to describe my life of living and teaching in rural Alaska. I moved to Kongiganak, Alaska from Pennsylvania, which is over 4,000 miles away from all of my family and friends to pursue a teaching profession in a place where I knew a few people via e-mail. Literally, I graduated from Bloomsburg University and three weeks later moved all the way to Kong to teach at a school called Ayagina’ar Elitnaurvik. I am just fortunate to get a job right out of college teaching! But, I think this is enough for an introduction, so let living on the last frontier begin!
